"Purpose" is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot, especially in leadership, coaching, and personal development circles. But when we strip it back, it comes down to one question:

Do you know why you do what you do?

If you are reading this, the chances are that you are successful in many conventional senses. You have achieved, you have delivered, and you have kept the plates spinning. But deep down, do you feel like you're doing what you are meant to do?

I do not advocate finding your perfect, pre-written life mission. I advocate finding clarity, gaining better alignment, and focusing your energy.

It is about the sense that your day-to-day actions are part of a bigger sense of purpose that matters to you.

It is fair to say that when you lack a clear sense of purpose, you can feel:

  • Stuck in the wrong story

  • Disconnected from what drives you on

  • Unclear on which opportunities to say yes or no

I believe that when purpose is present, it anchors you. Your decisions become simpler, your confidence grows, and your resilience deepens. You are not drifting; you are directing.

In the ALIGN programme, I start with Meaning for a reason. The what and how will always feel a little off if you are not connected to why.

I invite you to reflect:

  • If you were to write one sentence that described your purpose right now, what would it be?

  • How would you know if you were living it?

Please take my free ALIGN Scorecard if you are unsure where you stand. It is a structured self-assessment across six key pillars of life and leadership. It only takes five minutes to complete, and when you finish, you will be sent a personalised report that sets your baseline alignment.

Your next 10 years start today.
